What if you tipped the scale? By placing a name tag on staff and managers no longer wearing them. I think the staff would feel more accountable for the job and interactions they have with customers. Why is it that we all, yes you know we all do this? We seek the names of the employes when something or someone has wronged us or someone we know.
How can we praise others, the women at Bank, or our coworkers when a job is completed and done right? Instead we say nothing because why, “Well that is there job”. I have worked multiple industries working my way up to management in each of them. Occupation: Assistant Wedding of Events Planner, were I watch the staff and management came to head one evening, on the job over name tags and uniforms, when a GM told them they were not worthy of a name tag. // That moment sparked me to spark others, to instill within ourselves who we are before some job or health care pull in a line of negative. Strength within is louder than any name tag. I am glad you enjoyed my blog. 20 years experience in hospitality was my informational source.

I believe if more people were praised in their jobs, they would do a better job. I know people who have never heard a word of praise or thank you for a job well done. That deflates and discourages people and why should they keep on trying and doing their best. It is hard, but as a Christian I need to remember it is not for worldly gain, but for God. Keep doing your BEST, put yourself out there and be a light that shines bright for Jesus. The most important ID badge we wear is I am a Christian, God’s child. Shine your light. 🙂
